As COVID-19 continues to disrupt life and business Riverland Fire and Safety has given careful consideration to how we can maintain services to our clients. This is especially important as many of our services are to ensure life safety fire systems will work if required.
Our approach is based on the government strategy of social isolation – although we like to call it “insulating our teams”. What we have done is divided the staff into one or two people teams that are then physically isolated from the other teams. The result is that if one team is quarantined due to the COVID-19 virus the other teams can absorb their work enabling us to keep critical life safety fire systems operational.
To ensure that our staff don’t become isolated we are still having regular larger team meetings using phones and video conferencing technology.
We are also increasing our hand cleaning regime and minimising direct contact with others as recommended by the Government. So please excuse us if we don’t shake your hand when we meet you next.
We are also avoiding face to face client meetings, rather we are using the phone and video conferencing technology to maintain contact with you, our clients.
While these strategies will not stop the spread of COVID-19 they will ensure that we can keep your critical fire systems operational throughout this pandemic.
